Jardeg is currently recruiting for experienced Carpenter Forepersons for upcoming work with Technical Workforce Inc. for Graham’s Buildings Division in Vancouver the Lower Mainland.
Graham Construction has completed projects in BC ranging from the 42-story landmark Residential Tower within Vancouver’s skyline to the 32-storey B6 Office Tower, the New West Minster Secondary School build to the Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre design and build, and the Joyce-Collingwood SkyTrain Station Upgrades.

Full-time hours daily from Monday to Friday (shift is 5 days on 2 days off) with the chance to work overtime (this may include weekends and/or possible afternoon & night shift schedules as needed)
In the role you will be:

Leading construction on projects and ensuring that construction goals are achieved and meet or exceed client expectations

Producing work that results in an exceptional client experience

Ensuring projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards

Working with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule

Providing clear direction to those team members you’re leading, to ensure project targets are achieved

Attending and providing input at project meetings and ensuring that information is transmitted to those on your team

Assessing the target production goal, then establishing a team workflow while executing the plan to achieve it

Supporting staff through coaching and team huddles

Efficiently and safely using the relevant tools and equipment needed to produce the various assemblies for the project

Supporting and maintaining healthy, happy work environments and corporate culture

Maintaining clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites
Requirements:
-
Highly skilled Carpenter that has experience managing construction teams as they work to produce quality craftsmanship

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role
-
Previous experience in general construction is required (e.g. residential, commercial, institutional and/or Industrial)

Strong understanding of construction phases and workflows

Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing

Willing to work in extreme weather conditions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Willingness to travel to job sites, as required

Preference will be given to Carpenter who holds a valid Journeyperson ticket or able to provide proof of hours relevant to the Carpentry trade
