Duties will include:
- Working with the project management team to help create, maintain and execute a project plan to ensure compliance with budget and construction schedule.
- Supervision and coordination of site construction activity including earthworks, utilities, roadwork and paving, grading, concrete flatwork, and municipal infrastructure.
- Collaborating with the project team and trade contractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring implementation of Modern Paving’s safety program to ensure compliance with health, safety and environment procedures.
- Performing minor light labouring tasks as required within the scope of the job.
Requirements for the role:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
- Five or more years of experience in a Civil Construction Supervision role working on civil construction, road or earthworks projects.
- Experience in coordinating own forces and sub-contractors for various construction projects.
- Experience and knowledge of implementing a strong safety culture and application of HSE policies and procedures.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience on loaders/excavators is an asset.
- Survey experience is an asset.
