Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various clinical settings, including hospital, nursing home, assisted living, or home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care across diverse populations, including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with dementia or chronic conditions. Proficiency in electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner is preferred. The successful nurse will be committed to improving patient outcomes through skilled nursing practices and compassionate support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections and IV therapy
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status regularly
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems like Epic and Cerner
- Assist with pain management, case management, and discharge planning as needed
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory specimen collection
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide specialized care for pediatric, senior, dementia, or home care patients as required
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Prior hospital experience or nursing home experience preferred; experience in acute care, senior care, or pediatric settings is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and nursing procedures
- Experience with electronic health records such as Epic or Cerner highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children and seniors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in pain management, case management, or laboratory procedures is advantageous
