Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Lead Hand to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily on-site operations, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will drive project success by supervising crew activities, managing schedules, and maintaining strict adherence to blueprints and schematics. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide on-site work
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify that work meets industry standards and project requirements
- Assist in budgeting efforts by tracking labor hours, material usage, and equipment costs
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Primavera P6 to update project schedules, document progress, and communicate with team members
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a construction environment with a strong understanding of site operations
- Extensive construction experience across various trades and project types
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and budgeting processes
- Experience using construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6 for project coordination
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations on construction sites
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining clear communication and problem-solving skills
