Your Water Company is looking for experienced drivers to fulfill positions in our company. An AZ license is required to apply. It is absolutely imperative to have extensive experience with manual transmission commercial trucks. We are unable to provide training on this and we require you to be fully experienced and ready to operate manual transmission trucks.
There is an AZ position available to operate our tractor trailer. You will be delivering water mainly to farms and pools. Dispatch is sent out the night before, but can change throughout the day. You will perform a circle check to begin your day, then proceed to the local water filling station to load the truck. You then head to the customer(s) on your list and unload into cisterns, pools, wells, containers, etc. This process may be performed between 4 and 14 times throughout the day. We have manual transmission trucks and extensive experience driving manual transmission trucks is a must. This is an outdoor job and you will be subjected to the elements while making deliveries. You will be in the extreme heat and extreme cold.
Experienced drivers are required to provide an insurance LOE showing at least 3 of the last 5 years coverage under heavy commercial truck insurance. These must be submitted with your application. They can be obtained through previous employer's insurers and they need to state experience with HEAVY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES. The letters must be from the insurance company and NOT the employer's letterhead (unless they self-insure). These are required to get on our fleet insurance. There are no exceptions.

Requirements:
- LOEs from previous insurers showing 3 of the last 5 years of heavy commercial vehicle coverage. (To receive a higher starting wage.)
- Extensive experience operating manual transmission heavy commercial vehicles required.
- Flexibility. Hours vary based on weather/precipitation (Averages 40hrs/wk at end of the year, however, there can be some super long days and some short days throughout).
- Reliability. There is no "end time" (ex. done by 5pm everyday). This job is largely dependent on rain and weather. Sometimes we have light days and you are done by 2pm and others you may be out till 7pm.
- Saturday availability required (we try to give every other Saturday off)
- Ability to work independently in an environment that, at times, can be fast-paced.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather - this includes extreme heat and extreme cold.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to competently use technology - send/receive emails & texts, operate digital database in an app on a smartphone (proficiency using a phone is a must)
- Minimum DZ license. AZ position available as well
- Extensive manual transmission experience required
- Ability to perform circle check, report any required truck concerns to the maintenance supervisor.
- Ability to move large hoses and lift approx. 50lbs.
- Ability to maintain attention while loading and unloading the water from the truck.
- Ability to collect payment, fill out necessary receipts and driver paperwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Have good customer services skills, be friendly and courteous when in contact with customers.
We are looking for people to start training with us right away. Hours vary throughout the year, however over the course of the year, our drivers average 35-45 hrs per week.
