Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated CNC Mill Machinist to join our team in Mississauga. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines using FANUC or HEIDENHAIN controls. Your proactive approach will help ensure consistent quality, safety, and efficiency throughout our production processes.
Here’s What You’ll Deliver:
- Study sample parts and review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequence planning
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines
- Test and maintain boring bars
- Select appropriate tools and fixtures, and perform tool wear offsets
- Set and adjust speeds and feeds as required
- Inspect parts and verify dimensions against customer specifications using precision measuring instruments (e.g., thread gauges, height gauges, verniers, bore gauges, micrometers, and protractors) to close tolerances
- Document and report any dimensional deviations
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards
- Scan jobs in Microsoft Dynamics AX and complete traveler documentation after inspection
- Record and maintain accurate measurement data
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to safely load and unload components
- Understand, interpret, and edit FANUC G-code programs
- Identify and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of CNC equipment
- Follow ISO standards and adhere to all safety procedures
- Support and assist in training junior CNC machinists
- Identify causes of non-conformance, including tool/work offsets, tool length, and incorrect tooling
- Apply a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and potential risks
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

**This compensation range will be based on knowledge and experience**
Compensation: $22.00 - CA$29.00 per hour
