Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Manager will play a hands-on role within the finance function, supporting day-to-day financial operations with particular focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This individual will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, internal process development, and cross-functional partnership with operational teams to drive financial visibility and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Close
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicators, providing insights to the Controller
Accounting Operations
Review and oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger entries
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Support the ongoing development and enforcement of internal controls
Systems and Process Improvement
Assist with ERP system implementation and optimization
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability
Audit and Compliance
Support year-end audits and liaise with external accountants
Ensure all financial processes meet regulatory and policy requirements
Team Development
Mentor and support junior finance team members as the organization scales
Qualifications and Experience
3 to 4 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Experience in construction, project-based, or inventory-driven environments is strongly preferred
Strong foundation in financial reporting, month-end close
Exposure to internal controls and process improvement initiatives
Strong ERP system experience; familiarity with implementation or optimization is an asset
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
Public accounting background or experience managing audits

Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment
People leadership instincts with an interest in developing junior team members
