$25.00-$30.00 / Hour starting wage dependent on qualifications
Full Time, Day Shift
4 x 10 Hour Shifts Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Evening/Weekends/On Call when needed
All necessary training will be provided.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving the company's facilities, equipment, and building systems. This role supports the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility through preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of equipment and infrastructure.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and components.
- Perform basic HVAC maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Complete basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs within qualifications and applicable regulations.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance, including fixtures, piping, and water systems.
- Complete general carpentry, building repairs, and facility improvements.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as required.
- Diagnose and repair small engines and engine-driven equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and facility upgrades.
- Maintain maintenance records and document completed work.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve facility reliability and efficiency.
- Assist other departments with maintenance-related projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or related environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and engine mechanical systems.
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance and clear documentation on digital platform
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred.
- Certification in millwrighting, electrical, or other related trade is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
