Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks under supervision, including basic chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff by restocking supplies and ensuring all necessary items are readily available.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen to uphold hygiene standards required in food service settings.
- Support hospitality staff during busy service times by providing timely assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or food service environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support other staff members.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations such as food preparation and cooking is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen environment.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
