AnodeNDT is currently looking for Certified Exposure Device Operators (CEDO) to support upcoming projects in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
- The CEDO candidate will ensure the safe operation of exposure devices. A technical background in various NDT methods and procedures allows you to demonstrate competency effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with all current safety and code compliances.
- You follow strict adherence to all safety regulations including but not limited to the ANODE NDT operating procedure manual, the CNSC regulations, and the NRCan code of conduct.
- Ensure safe operation of exposure devices
- Setup film in the field or onsite at shop locations
- Setup & dismantle radiographic barriers
- Carrying out radiographic inspection as directed, ensuring perimeters are free from non-authorized personnel
- Adhering to CNSC regulations and related Radiation Safety Manual
- Assisting with inspection reports or other NDT method inspections as required
- You are responsible for hazard mitigation and will adhere to PPE requirements at all work sites
- You maintain positive working relations with clients and NDT technicians
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness, following all regulations and procedures
Experience:
- Previous work in NDT is an advantage
- Facility maintenance and construction
- Pipeline integrity and construction
- Thorough understanding of regulatory and operating approvals and procedures
- Min. 1-year practical experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current + valid CEDO certification (CNSC)
- Valid driver's license
- Technical background in non-destructive testing
- Strong computer skills required, including the ability to operate computerized equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective problem solving & decision-making skills
- Additional CGSB certifications are an asset
Additional Information:
- Overtime pay is provided after 8 hours of work on weekdays and all hours on weekends and holidays
- Health benefits will be provided immediately upon completion of orientation
- Only those holding current CEDO certifications will be considered
