Job Summary
Canadian Feed Screws is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented VDF Gun Drill Machine Operator to operate a Boehringer Göppingen VDF Gun Drill Machine for precision deep-hole drilling of industrial components. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Training will be provided to the right candidate. Previous machining experience is an asset
Duties
- Operate and monitor Boehringer Göppingen VDF gun drill machines for precision deep-hole drilling operations.
- Set up machines, tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure and inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
- Ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances, straightness, and surface finish requirements.
- Adjust machine settings, feeds, speeds, and coolant flow as required.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience operating gun drilling or deep-hole drilling machines is an asset.
- Experience with Boehringer Goppingen VDF machines preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
