Job Summary:
Walinga, a leader in the agricultural equipment industry, is looking for a Trailer Equipment Technician/Mechanic at the Wallenstein location to keep our customers running smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and some experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Role Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and air systems using tools and specialized equipment
- Test and optimize systems to meet Walinga standards.
- Advise supervisors on work performed and general trailer conditions and recommend future repairs that may be required.
- Participate and specialized training for Walinga Transportation and pneumatic conveying equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace that adheres to safety standards.
- Perform other duties across departments as needed based on your skill set.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Mechanical repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 12-volt electrical systems (preferred).
- Welding experience and familiarity with welding tools/equipment is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and English instructions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) is an asset
- Ability to climb, walk, kneel, squat, and perform overhead work.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various temperatures.
Academic and Trades Qualifications:
- High school diploma or one year of equivalent work experience
- 310J or equivalent licence is an asset
- Driver’s License
Schedule:
- 9-10 hour shifts
- Day shift/Afternoon shift
- Overtime available
