Enterprise Systems Specialist
Summary
The Enterprise Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining, improving, and optimizing core enterprise systems, with a strong focus on ERP data integrity and operational efficiency. This role ensures accuracy in product and manufacturing data while supporting automation, integration, and system improvements across the business.
A key objective of this role is to enhance system reliability and usability for operations by reducing manual work, improving data quality, and enabling more efficient workflows through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Data Management & Accuracy
- Maintain and update ERP product data, including Part Profiles, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Bills of Operations (BOOs), and product configurations.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all ERP data changes.
- Identify and correct configuration issues, especially those affecting active production orders.
- Conduct regular audits of ERP part data to identify and resolve errors or inefficiencies.
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Partner closely with Operations and Production Supervisors to identify system-related pain points.
- Translate operational challenges into system improvements or technical solutions.
- Implement timely fixes and enhancements to improve day-to-day usability of systems.
Systems Development & Integration
- Support IT initiatives requiring scripting, coding, or technical customization.
- Identify opportunities to integrate systems and eliminate duplicate data entry or disconnected tools.
- Support efforts to reduce unnecessary software platforms and optimize license usage.
Automation & Efficiency
- Develop and implement automation solutions to reduce manual processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency in data flow and system usage.
- Support digitization and standardization of workflows across departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5+ years of experience in ERP systems administration, systems support, or operations systems roles.
- Strong experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing data structures, including BOMs, routing/operations, and part master data.
- Basic to intermediate scripting or programming ability (e.g., SQL, Python, or similar).
- Experience with system integration, APIs, or automation tools considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Ability to work closely with operational teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple system improvement initiatives simultaneously.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
