Job Duties
- Machine Setup: Read job orders to find paper size, ink colors, and quantities. Mount printing plates, load paper, and fill ink fountains, washup press.
- Quality Control: Print a test sheet to check for color, alignment, and ink coverage. Watch the press run using computer controls to fix any flaws. Follow directions and give input when handeling a customer press check.
- Maintenance: Clean plates, cylinders, rollers, and oil moving parts after use. Fix minor machine problems.
- Safety and Teamwork: Work with and direct press feeder, follow factory safety rules, and meet production deadlines.
- Ink: Ability to accurately mix pantone colors using the most current PMS mixing scales
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or a college certificate in printing technology.
- Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long hours, bend, and lift heavy items like paper rolls and ink buckets.
- Key Skills: Good color vision, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Experience: Experience runningHeidelburg CD 102 sheetfed 5 & 6 color presses is a prefered asset.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
