We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a love for learning. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom management, and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Bilingual skills in English and French are highly valued, especially experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's growth and address individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities using computer operation skills.
- Collaborate with team members to organize classroom activities, events, and educational programs.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored instructional strategies and accommodations.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating strong organizational skills and time management.
- Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development theories.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills including basic computer operation, record keeping, and educational software applications.
- Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
