Duties
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and rescheduling to optimize daily workflow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using dental practice management software such as Abeldent or similar systems
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claims processing to facilitate timely reimbursements
- Support human resources functions including onboarding new staff, maintaining personnel files, and coordinating training sessions
- Oversee inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed
- Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance on office procedures and fostering a positive team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dental or medical office environment with familiarity using Abeldent or comparable electronic health record systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings
- Prior experience in human resources functions such as staffing, training, or employee management is highly desirable
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and financial record keeping within healthcare practices
- Knowledge of hospital or acute care settings, nursing procedures, or medical office operations is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
