About Hayati
Hayati (joinhayati.com) is a community-driven platform connecting families across Southern Ontario with trusted, caring childcare providers. We're actively building our caregiver network in Milton and onboarding compassionate caregivers who love working with children and supporting families.
This is a flexible, match-based opportunity — caregivers are paired with local families based on availability, experience, and preferences. You choose the placements that fit your schedule.
How to apply (please read)
All applications go through our intake form at joinhayati.com, not through Indeed messages. To be matched with families, caregivers complete a verified profile, which includes a background check (one-time fee of $25–$50 to cover the check — this is the only cost, and there are no commissions taken from your earnings).
We do this because the families on our platform are entrusting caregivers with their children in their homes, and verification is what makes the match work for everyone. If you're serious about caregiving work and ready to be matched with families, the intake takes about 10–15 minutes.
What you'll do
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for children of various ages
- Support daily routines including meals, naps, playtime, and basic hygiene
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Create a safe, warm, and respectful environment in the family's home
- Communicate openly with parents about children's needs and progress
- Adapt care for children with additional needs when applicable
- Help keep childcare spaces tidy and organized
What we're looking for
- Experience caring for children (infants, toddlers, or school-aged)
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Reliability and flexibility with scheduling
- A genuine passion for supporting children and families
- Comfort working independently in family homes
- Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check as part of intake
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse family values and traditions
- Comfort working in homes where faith-based routines (e.g., modesty preferences, halal dietary considerations, prayer times) may be part of daily life — many of our families observe these, and we welcome caregivers who are at ease in those environments
Nice to have
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certification
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C (or willingness to obtain)
- Own transportation (helpful for reaching families across Milton's growing neighbourhoods)
- Additional languages (Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Tagalog, Mandarin, French, etc.) are a plus
