Full-time Responsibilities include:
- To work as part of a team in a residential program
- Supervision and monitoring of clients
- Teach Functional living skills
- Behaviour Management
- Assist clients with daily routines and personal care
- Provide community orienteering and leisure activities
- Conduct appointments
- Administer medication
- Data collection and documentation
- Shared responsibility for cooking/ household tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Participate in all scheduled staff training programs/ meetings
- Hours of work are based on a schedule that includes evenings and weekends
Qualifications/Experience:
- Post-secondary certificate in DSW, CYW, SSW, or equivalent and/or related University degree/ experience
- Knowledge and experience in Mental Health, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Developmental Challenges
- Good team building skills
- Good interactive/ communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good organization and time management skills
- Reliable with good work ethic
- Driver's License mandatory for this position to assist with Community programs, medical appointments, etc
