Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role involves working with diverse machinery brands and types of equipment such as excavators, dozers, rock trucks, backhoes, and highway truck sensuring optimal operation and safety standards. Duties
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals and OEM dealer personel.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures
- Conduct welding, assembly, and mechanical repairs utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on industrial machinery
- Operate and test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain detailed service records and adhere to safety protocols during all repair activities
- Assist with the installation of new machinery and upgrades as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and recommendations effectively
Skills
- Proven experience with heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Hands-on experience with excavator, crane, forklift, and farm machinery repairs
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Capable of heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge
Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
