Job Summary
As a Server at Shoeless Joe’s, you are the face of the guest experience. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to deliver excellent food and drinks while engaging with guests in a lively, sports-centric atmosphere. Whether it’s a regular game night or a weekend rush, you ensure every guest leaves happy.
Key Responsibilities
- The Guest Experience: Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, executing Shoeless Joe’s signature service standards.
- Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system (e.g., Micros).
- Upselling: Demonstrate strong menu and beverage knowledge; comfortably make recommendations and use suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales.
- Efficiency & Teamwork: Deliver food and drinks efficiently while keeping tables clean and clear; collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain a seamless dining flow.
- Financial Accuracy: Process guest payments accurately, adhering to strict cash handling and terminal procedures.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary station. Comply with all local food safety regulations and guidelines for the responsible service of alcohol.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: A valid alcohol service certification (e.g., Smart Serve in Ontario) is mandatory.
- Experience: 1 year of restaurant serving or customer service experience is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, basic math proficiency for cash handling, and excellent time management.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (major game days).
