Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment by properly washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is vital to ensuring smooth kitchen operations and supporting food service excellence in a fast-paced restaurant. Previous experience in food handling, restaurant, or hotel environments is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Dishwasher will play an essential role in upholding health and safety standards while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.
- Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
- Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
- Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.
- Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.
- Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
- Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
- Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- No previous experience required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Pay: $16.00 per hour
