Qualification:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be licensed and in good standing with the CLPNA, demonstrate the ability to carry out nursing responsibilities in alignment with legislation, professional standards, and agency policies, and successfully complete all required orientation and training, and demonstrate ongoing competency. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements:

Active LPN license (CLPNA) in good standing.

Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)

Ability to adapt to and prioritize client’s needs
-
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
-
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (dated within 12 months).

Proof of Eligibility to work in Canada

Two professional references
-
Completion of COVID-19 vaccination series (minimum two doses).
Non-Required Preferred Skills, Education and Certifications:
-
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory nursing role.

Valid driver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured
-
Current CPR and First Aid Certification (recognized by Alberta Occupational Health & Safety).

Have a smartphone
-
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in home care, geriatrics, or community health.

Experience in palliative care and dementia care.
-
Experience in medication management, wound care, catheter care, G-tube, and colostomy management.
Physical Requirements:

Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from work.

Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight bearing requirements contingent upon client condition and needs

Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the work day
