Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fitting tasks according to specifications and blueprints
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Measure and mark materials using calipers, rulers, and other measuring instruments
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of welded components
- Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Must be willing to work in the shop and be away on job sites
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
- Familiarity with ductwork fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in metal fabrication
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
