Job Overview
We’re hiring an experienced Cribber who is skilled in reading blueprints, performing residential footings and standing wall formwork, and familiar with Alberta provincial construction codes and regulations. You will be a key member of our foundation crew, ensuring accurate layout and safety-compliant form installation and support systems.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Build, set and secure cribbing/formwork for concrete footings and standing walls in residential projects.
- Ensure work meets design, safety and provincial building code requirements.
- Measure, cut, assemble and square forms with precision.
- Work closely with concrete crews to coordinate pours and form stripping.
- Maintain jobsite safety and proper housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
Qualifications
- Previous work in cribbing/formwork and concrete foundation construction.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of residential footings, standing walls and Alberta codes/regulations.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Safety-focused, punctual, reliable and a team player.
