About the Role
Millers TIMBER MART is looking for a reliable, energetic Yard Student to join our team. This position is ideal for a high‑school or post‑secondary student who enjoys hands‑on work, learning new skills, and working outdoors. You’ll support our yard staff with daily operations, customer service, and safe material handling.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist customers in the lumber yard with locating and loading building materials
· Safely operate yard equipment (training provided)
· Pick and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
· Maintain a clean, organized yard and inventory areas
· Restock materials, bundle lumber, and assist with product counts
· Support deliveries by helping load/unload trucks
· Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
· Provide friendly, helpful customer service at all times
Qualifications
· Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Strong work ethic and reliability
· Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
· Previous yard or labour experience is an asset but not required

Pay: $17.84-$19.00 per hour
