Custodian – Residential | Full-Time

We're hiring a full-time Custodian to help keep our residential communities clean, safe, and welcoming for tenants.
Please note that a Criminal Record Check is required for this role as this is an onsite role. This is paid by for the company.

What You'll Do
Cleaning
- Clean and disinfect hallways, lobbies, stairs, and shared spaces
- Vacuum, mop, sweep, and scrub floors and common areas
- Clean suites between move-outs and move-ins
- Empty trash and follow recycling rules
- Replace light bulbs as needed
Building Upkeep
- Do minor repairs — touch-up painting, drywall fixes
- Shovel snow, salt walkways, and keep grounds tidy
- Move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Run daily safety checks (doors, elevators, smoke alarms)
- Track cleaning supplies and inventory
People & Teamwork
- Help tenants with requests in a friendly, professional way
- Work with Property Managers and the maintenance team
- Coordinate with contractors and trades as needed
- Complete all required paperwork
What You Need
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of cleaning or building maintenance experience
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Nice to Have
- A second language
- Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act
- Basic maintenance skills (plumbing, electrical, painting)
- Knowledge of workplace health & safety
