The Avalon Hair Salon is seeking a talented, experienced, and motivated Hair Stylist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a stylist looking to grow quickly, as we currently have existing clientele that require ongoing service and are ready to be assigned to the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professional consultations
- Perform cutting, coloring, highlighting, balayage, styling, and other hair services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation
- Build strong client relationships and encourage repeat business
- Recommend professional retail products when appropriate
- Contribute positively to salon culture and teamwork
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of behind-the-chair hairstyling experience
- Must have successfully completed hairstyling school/apprenticeship training
- Licensed or eligible to work as a hairstylist in Alberta
- Strong cutting, coloring, and styling skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
Important
This position is not suitable for apprentices or current hairstyling students. We are seeking experienced, fully trained hairstylists only. Applicants must have completed their hairstyling education and possess a minimum of 2–3 years of salon experience behind the chair.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a stylist who is confident, passionate about their craft, eager to continue learning, and excited about the opportunity to service existing salon clientele while continuing to grow their own book of business. Experience with blonding, balayage, highlights, and modern color techniques is considered a strong asset.
