About Under The Seat Plumbing
Under The Seat is the plumbing arm of Sasquatch Heat Pumps — a family-owned, Vancouver Island-based company providing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services across Greater Victoria, the Westshore, Sooke, and Nanaimo. We're growing fast, but we're not interested in being the biggest. We're interested in being the best to work for and the best to call.
The Role
This is a service van position, not a construction or new-build role. You'll be assigned a fully stocked truck, a phone, a tablet, and a schedule of residential and light commercial calls dispatched through ServiceTitan. Standard service mix — water heaters, repipes, fixture work, leak diagnostics, drain issues, sump pumps, backflow. If you're gas-ticketed (B or A), even better — but it's not required.
Your day will look something like this:
- Morning huddle or remote check-in, then off to your first call
- Diagnosing and repairing whatever the homeowner is dealing with — leaks, clogs, failed water heaters, fixture replacements, repipes, sump pumps, backflow, gas line work (if ticketed), drain issues
- Walking customers through what's going on, presenting options, and quoting the work transparently using our pricebook
- Completing the job to code, cleaning up, and leaving the home better than you found it
- Wrapping up paperwork in ServiceTitan from your truck before heading to the next call or home
You'll see a real mix of work — older Sooke homes, newer Westshore builds, Victoria character homes, the occasional Nanaimo run — and no two days are the same.
What we need from you
- Red Seal Journeyman ticket (required)
- Clean BC driver's abstract
- The ability to talk to a homeowner like a human and quote the job without sweating
- Pride in your work and the kind of standards you'd want in your own home
