Our store is open every day until 2:00 AM, and we are currently looking for a knowledgeable, energetic, and customer-focused Part-Time Budtender to join our team. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Budtender experience in a licensed cannabis retail store.
- Valid SellSafe Certification (required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be available to work evening, night, and closing shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive customer relationships.
- Verify government-issued identification to ensure compliance with Alberta cannabis regulations.
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, and budget.
- Educate first-time cannabis consumers on products and safe consumption.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cannabis products, strains, terpenes, brands, and industry trends.
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using the store's point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Count inventory daily and assist with inventory audits.
- Receive deliveries and update in-store menus on delivery days.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the cannabis vault and retail sales floor.
- Ensure the storefront, displays, and cannabis vault remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with general store operations and opening/closing procedures.
- Lift and move inventory boxes weighing 20–35 lbs on delivery days.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of cannabis products, strains, terpene profiles, and consumption methods.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Basic computer skills, including email and internet use.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
