Key Responsibilities
- Install paint protection film (full vehicle, partial front, high-impact areas, rocker panels, etc.).
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by washing, decontaminating, claying, polishing (when required), and ensuring surfaces are free of defects.
- Remove and reinstall trim pieces, emblems, lights, mirrors, or panels when necessary to achieve seamless installations.
- Use plotter software and pre-cut patterns while performing custom bulk installations when required.
- Inspect completed installations for bubbles, contamination, lifting edges, alignment, and overall quality.
- Perform quality control checks before vehicle delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Properly care for installation tools and equipment.
- Communicate with management regarding project timelines and any issues encountered.
- Assist with other shop duties such as washing vehicles, polishing, cleaning, etc.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and shop policies.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience installing Paint Protection Film (preferred but willing to train the right candidate).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Excellent manual dexterity and precision.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred (But Not Required)
- XPEL, STEK, SunTek, or 3M certification.
- Experience with ceramic coatings, vinyl wrapping, or window tint.
- Experience using pattern software (Core, or equivalent).
- Automotive detailing experience.
- Knowledge of paint correction techniques.
