CNC Milling Operator

Production Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Milling Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-axis CNC milling machines to fabricate precision metal and plastic components. You will work closely with engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments to meet exacting tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
· Machine Setup & Operation: Interpret complex technical blueprints, engineering plans, and work orders to set up, edit, and operate CNC milling machines.
· Tooling & Fixturing: Select, install, and adjust necessary fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments according to part specifications.
· Quality Control: Conduct test runs and perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure zero defects.
· Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, monitor coolant and oil levels, and troubleshoot machining errors or tool wear.
· Efficiency & Safety: Adhere strictly to safety regulations, maintain a clean workspace, and optimize machining parameters to minimize material waste and cycle times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC milling centers.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in reading CAD drawings, and working knowledge or Mastercam (G-Code)
- Math & Measurement: Solid shop math skills and ability to use precision measuring tools to achieve tight tolerances.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting production issues.
