Job Summary

The Pipelayer plays a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects. This individual will be involved in every phase of the construction process and will be responsible for such things as pipe-laying, compaction, equipment operation and maintenance, site preparation, and excavation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform the installation of pipes with the utmost standards in quality while keeping up with production targets.
- Prepare area for pipe installation, performing all necessary excavation preparation including slope and elevation determination.
- Manually or through the use of equipment, place pipe accurately and according to construction drawings.
- Read blueprints and ensure all trenches are dug according to construction drawings including adherence to all specified excavation levels and depths.
- Adhere to applicable safety and environmental standards, regulations and company policies.
- Set up and operate pipe lasers and levels.
- Other duties as required.
- Must have valid driver's license.
Experience
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in a pipelaying or similar roll.
- Experience in roadworks, infrastructure, water and sewer underground services.
- Experience in large diameter watermains and sewage lift stations.
Physical Requirments
- Must be able to lift and control equipment and materials up 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk around project site.
- Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
