Job Description:
Looking to hire respite worker to work with a 12 year old girl with Autism. Tasks include personal care, supervision inside and outside the home (including outings), help with various activities of daily living, and keeping her engaged. Hours may range from 15-30 hours per week. Hours are available 7 days per week and will include day time, evening and weekend hours. Weekends will be shared among all staff. Pay is $19.75 per hour plus 4% vacation pay. Experience an asset but not essential. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
·Assist child in performing daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, using the toilet, eating, etc.
- Be comfortable managing negative behaviour in accordance with Behaviour Modification principles and programming (Training provided).
·Attend scheduled appointments with child
·Communicate with other staff members
·Maintain professional behavior at all times
·Participate in training sessions as needed
·Adhere to confidentiality policies regarding family information at all times.
