Metalworks is a busy HVAC Sheet Metal Manufacturer located in Bradford, ON. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in Trimble Software and Auto CAD/Design experience.

Position Summary: The Inputter is responsible for interpreting blueprints and drawings to determine the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal ducts and fittings using Trimble FabShop software. This role serves as a crucial liaison between the sales team and the manufacturing floor to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently. The inputter will draft ducts and fittings, clarify measurements and designs, and ensure the highest quality standards are met in the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine fabrication and assembly requirements for sheet metal ducts and fittings using Trimble FabShop software.
- Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between the sales team and the manufacturing floor to ensure that orders are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Transfer information from drawings into our Trimble software. Ensure accuracy while utilizing your knowledge of custom fittings, sheet metal products, and ductwork.
- Measurement Clarification: Clarify measurements and design details in the system from drawings and sketches, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the shop foreperson and internal team members to ensure the accuracy of orders and resolve any potential issues.
- Issue Communication: Communicate any issues or concerns promptly to the shop foreperson and key internal stake holders to maintain smooth workflow and production efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience with interpreting blueprints and drawings.
- Proficiency in using Trimble FabShop software and/or Autocad Software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to addressing concerns.
- HVAC and Sheet Metal knowledge and experience with ductwork and fittings is preferred
