Live-In Facility Manager
Harbourfront – North Vancouver, BC
We are seeking an experienced Live-In Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a brand-new, 150-unit residential strata building located on the North Vancouver harbourfront.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Facility Manager who takes pride in maintaining a first-class residential property and providing exceptional service to residents.
Position Details
- Full-time, Live-In Position
- Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Accommodation: 700 sq. ft. one-bedroom apartment provided at $1,200 per month
- Annualized salary of $50,000, increasing to an annualized salary of $52,000 after six months.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facility Manager in a residential strata building
- Thorough knowledge of residential strata building operations and maintenance
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Professional, organized, dependable, and able to work independently while maintaining positive relationships with residents, contractors, and the Strata Council
- Experience with:
- Fire alarm inspections and testing
- Emergency generator testing
- General building maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
- Strong computer skills, including:
- Microsoft Office/Excel
- Online property management portals
- Electronic key fob/access control systems
- Security camera/CCTV systems
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations and maintenance of the building and common property
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers
- Monitor and maintain building systems
- Manage electronic access control, key fob systems, and security cameras
- Coordinate fire safety inspections and testing
- Perform and document generator testing
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and building issues
- Maintain the property to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance
