OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair at EarthFresh Burlington facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary education - Maintenance Millwright (433A)
· Current license for Skyjack, Fall Arrest, Forklift
· Current CWB license/ticket (SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG)
· 2-3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or mechanic role, preferably within the food industry
· Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings in an industrial environment - PLC programming is considered an asset
· Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on various pieces of equipment
· Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces
· Knowledge and understanding in the functions of welding processes and equipment, drill press, grinders, hand and power tools, impact guns, bench grinders, and band saws
· Knowledge and ability to operate various production equipment such as weighers, baggers, conveyors and related pieces of equipment
· Positive attitude and ability to problem-solve and multi-task
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
· Ability to lift to 50lbs repetitively and stand on feet for majority of the working day
· Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as required and willingness to work varied shifts which may include evenings and weekends
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute preventative maintenance program as per schedule on all equipment, building and machinery.
2. Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, and repair for all equipment, plant wide (mechanical, pneumatic, and programmable logic controllers).
3. Install, align, take apart and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
4. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery as required.
5. Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools as required.
6. Perform general building maintenance.
7. Report on all health and safety risks to Maintenance Manager.
8. Work in a safe manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures as well as occupational health and safety laws.
9. Other responsibilities as required by the Maintenance Manager.
