We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver - Cross Border specializing in cross-border freight transportation. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks across international borders, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks for long-distance cross-border shipments between the United States and other countries
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Manage freight documentation and customs paperwork accurately for border crossings
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical issues during trips
- Coordinate with dispatchers and logistics teams to plan routes and delivery schedules
- Ensure adherence to all transportation laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and vehicle maintenance activities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for cross-border travel
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes involving border crossings
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Strong understanding of cross-border regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
- Excellent navigation skills and the ability to manage time effectively during extended trips
- Physical capability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections; must meet health requirements for long-distance driving
This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery across international borders.
Pay: $8,000.00-$15,000.00 per month
