Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage multiple tables with excellent time management. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Server plays a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and answering questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills, ensuring prompt service for all guests
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure guest health and safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training provided for those new to the industry
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Understanding of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation standards
- Experience with food industry operations including serving, food preparation, and hospitality practices is advantageous
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
