WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
As a Senior HVAC Technician, you will:
- Lead complex troubleshooting and service work.
- Serve as a technical resource for other technicians.
- Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Build strong customer relationships.
- Help identify solutions that improve building performance and reliability.
- Support the continued growth of our HVAC division.
- Lead by example through professionalism, ownership, and technical excellence.
Most importantly, when a difficult situation arises, people naturally look to you for guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Service rooftop units, make-up air units, heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, and related mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and control issues
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Complete service repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Support technicians with advanced troubleshooting
- Respond to emergency service calls when required
Customer Leadership
- Build trust and long-term customer relationships
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Identify opportunities to improve customer facilities and equipment reliability
Team Development
- Mentor apprentices and developing technicians
- Share technical knowledge and best practices
- Promote accountability and professionalism
- Help establish service standards and procedures
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance culture
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic
- Gas Ticket (Minimum Class B)
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 5 years commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clean driving abstract
Preferred
- Red Seal Refrigeration Certification
- Hydronic heating experience
- Commercial boiler experience
- Controls troubleshooting experience
- Chiller and Cooling Tower experience
- Leadership or mentoring experience
