Seeking P/T Cake Decorator/Bakery Coordinator - Bluebird Cakery (Vancouver)

Bluebird Cakery is a small commercial kitchen, supplying retailers around the city as well as direct customer orders for the past 14 years. We are located off of Renfrew and Broadway in Vancouver.
We are looking to fill a part-time position of Cake Decorator/Baker (approximately 20 hours/week). Must be available Tuesday to Friday (starting at 9am), and Saturday, 11am-3pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Maintains a food-safe standard in health and hygiene (must have Food Safe Level 1)
- Bakes and prepares components (fillings, buttercreams, sheet cakes, cupcakes, etc.) in a efficient and timely manner, based on upcoming orders
- Stacking and decorating cakes cupcakes, filling orders (at least 5 years experience in cake decorating or baking capacity)
- Assists customers in a professional manner (written and spoken English is a must)
- Communicating with the manager on a daily basis
- Tracking inventory and current stock of raw materials, supplies, products and ingredients
- Managing customer pick ups and in-person inquiries
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely and must be able to stand for very long periods of time
- Always maintains a clean working area and considerate of others in the workplace (as we are a shared kitchen)
