About the Role
As our Payroll Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our union and salaried employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with employees, managers and external agencies while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Process full cycle bi-weekly payroll for unionized and salaried employees.
- Enter and verify timesheet information into our ERP system.
- Prepare and submit union remittances, WorksafeBC payments and government payroll remittances.
- Issue records of employment (ROEs).
- Complete year-end payroll activities, including T4 processing.
- Generate payroll reports and provide payroll data as required.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Process wage increases, salary adjustments, bonuses, and other compensation changes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
- Provide payroll records and supporting documentation for audits.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and collective agreements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
What You Bring
- Minimum 1 year payroll experience but will train the right person.
- PCP Certificate is an asset.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and interpreting collective agreements is preferred.
- Knowledge of CRA Payroll deduction and BC Employment Standards.
- Experience with Epicor ERP system preferred.
- Experience with 3rd party payroll providers specifically Dayforce an asset.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing and demanding environment with a calm and steady demeanor.
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
