NATURE OF THE WORK
The Administrative technician – On-the-job component is responsible for performing various types of technical work related to human resources management, the development and implementation of standards, and work related to administrative operations. As part of your responsibilities, here are the other tasks you will be required to perform:
Carry out the medical and administrative processing of CNESST, SAAQ, and IVAC files for all staff according to employment contracts, local agreements, and applicable laws;
Carry out all payroll-related activities (including the calculation of estimated gross salary and the entry of absences) in the staffing plan and in the GRICS system;
Evaluate with his supervisor and the external consultant any files requiring medical expertise from a doctor designated by the commission or those that may qualify for cost-sharing;
Propose temporary assignments to treating physicians and ensure their implementation;
Assist employees and managers during an employee’s return to work;
Notify managers and human resources colleagues concerned about absences;
Respond to employees and managers regarding the various questions affecting their field of activity;
Follow up on communications and requests with the CNESST, the SAAQ, and the IVAC;
Participate in the development and implementation of good practices for managing absences;
Complete the employees' documents for loan exemptions.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a college diploma in general administration techniques or other techniques appropriate to the job class;
- Have 2 years of experience in CNESST file management;
- Have a good English and French, both orally and in writing;
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel;
- Possess calculation skills;
- Experience using a payroll system, particularly the GRICS system, would be considered an asset.
