We are currently recruiting for a Student Administrative Assistant at Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley. Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley provides meaningful employment in both part-time and full-time capacities. The Student Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing a full range of administrative support to management, staff and volunteers, as such the successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following credentials.
Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary education (Business, communications, marketing, media etc.)
- Experience in an office administration position (at least 1 year)
- Experience with creating Media postings and facilitating website changes or updates
- Experience with building presentations, Canva or other publishing software and full proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in event co-ordination, planning and execution
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize activities in a fast-paced organization
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to engage with the public and contribute positively to the work culture of the organization
- Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills and ability to work as an effective team member
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative from concept through to implementation
- Adept at learning new technology
- Creativity, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail
- French language fluency would be an asset
- Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector clearance
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle
For our student positions, we offer 4% pay out of vacation time during the employment period and a supportive work environment from colleagues to key management roles. We also provide access to third-party, unlimited counselling services for employees and their family members at no charge.
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week for up to 9 weeks
