Quarterhorse Solutions builds custom fabrication projects for interior designers, architects, developers, and creative agencies. Our work spans architectural millwork, feature walls, signage, displays, and specialty fabrication.
Some projects are highly custom, while others are repeatable and process-driven, but all of them require care, coordination, and a commitment to doing things properly.
We’re a collaborative team that values craftsmanship, clear communication, and creativity.
We’re looking for a skilled Red Seal Cabinet Maker or Joiner who can hold their own on the shop floor, take ownership of their work, and collaborate with the broader production team.
Our work includes a mix of repeatable fabrication and custom builds, such as feature walls, branded environments, displays, signage, integrated lighting elements, and specialty installations. Experience working across a range of materials and build types is required.
This is not an assistant role. You’ll be expected to fabricate, assemble, and install custom work independently, while also continuing to develop your skills in CNC, materials, and build planning.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically capable, curious, and motivated to keep learning, as the environment requires ongoing skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble project builds according to approved plans and drawings
Operate CNC equipment and support CNC-based fabrication workflows
Work with a range of materials, including wood, MDF, laminate, veneers, acrylics, alupanel, and mixed-material assemblies
Fabricating feature walls, displays, signage, integrated elements, or similar custom build work
Read and interpret shop drawings and build documentation accurately
Participate in installations and solve issues as they arise on site
Manage assigned tasks independently and meet production deadlines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Collaborate closely with other millworkers, CNC operators, and production staff
4+ years of experience in custom or architectural millwork
Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
Installation experience on commercial job sites
CNC experience, including basic file handling and machine operation
Ability to read and execute shop drawings with minimal oversight
Solid understanding of materials, joinery methods, and finish requirements
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
Experience with Rhino, AutoCAD, and EnRoute; additional CNC, design, or fabrication software is an asset
Shop drawing and 3D rendering skills to support build plans
Interest in expanding technical, CNC, or build-planning skills
We’re looking for someone who:
Is motivated to grow their skills and take on increasing responsibility
Is open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
Works collaboratively, supports teammates, and communicates clearly
Values accountability and shared success
$25–$35/hr, based on experience
Extended health, dental, and vision benefits
Full-time hours
Exposure to a wide range of custom and specialty projects
A collaborative, respectful shop environment
Interesting projects with a mix of custom and standard fabrication
Company events and a down-to-earth team culture
