Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support senior attorneys in case preparation, legal research, and drafting legal documents. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case development
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, memos, and briefs with precision and clarity
- Assist in preparing cases for trial by organizing evidence, drafting discovery requests, and summarizing relevant laws
- Support negotiation processes by analyzing legal positions and preparing negotiation strategies
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and provide detailed reports on findings
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends that may impact cases or client interests
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation complies with firm standards and deadlines
Experience
- Prior experience or internship in a law firm or legal setting is preferred but not required
- Strong research skills with demonstrated proficiency in using LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to analyze complex issues critically
- Solid understanding of legal principles across various practice areas is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting tight deadlines
