Backtrack Railway Services Ltd. is a Stihl distributor and repair facility that has proudly served the railway industrial supply business for over 25 years. We provide sales, service, and parts for a wide range of hand and power tools used in the lawn and garden, railway, and industrial sectors. With five locations across Canada, we are a trusted leader in supply and service.
We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Shipper/Receiver & Customer Service Representative to join our team in St. Albert, Alberta.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: St. Albert, AB
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect items, and record inventory in a computer-based system (Netsuite)
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, bills of lading, and TDG shipping documents
- Assist with monitoring, stocking, and maintaining inventory at the facility
- Coordinate local pick-ups and deliveries
- Communicate with customers regarding sales, orders, and equipment pick-up
- Check equipment in and out using a computer-based tracking system and monitor status updates
- Provide counter sales and customer support in a retail environment
- Assist with general housekeeping duties in the office and shop as required
- Support equipment servicing and repair as skills and training develop
Qualifications
- Previous shipper/receiver experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence, clean abstract
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience using computer-based inventory or management systems
- Mechanically inclined; related education is an asset
- Stihl retail experience is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset, training provided
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn
- Physically able to lift 50–70 lbs and follow safe manual lifting practices
