Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate heavy trucks to transport goods to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly
- Plan routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Experience handling heavy lifting safely during loading and unloading processes
- Demonstrated ability to drive large vehicles for extended periods while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software is preferred
- A clean driving record and knowledge of transportation regulations are essential for success in this role
