Mississauga based automotive parts manufacturer requires an experienced Production / Material planner
Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to
- Sufficient experience and knowledge to plan production requirement based on customer demand.
- Work with engineering, planning, and other personnel to exchange information regarding inventories, schedules, and launching new products.
- Analyze and maintain inventory levels
- Sufficient experience to manage outside processing vendors
- Schedule raw material with suppliers through EDI
- Responsible for maintaining and adjusting inventory requirements based on past history.
- Able to work in a team environment
To qualify as a successful candidate, you will have:
- Post-Secondary education
- 5+ years of production planning and purchasing experience- direct experience within automotive manufacturing
- Experience in a stamping environment would be an asset
- A minimum of 5 years in material planning and Purchasing
- Strong computer skills Excel, Word PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced & changing automotive environment
- Experience in the ERP/MRP software (CMS software knowledge is an asset).
- CPIM certification is an asset
