The Role
As a Founding SDR / Team Lead, you will be one of the first sales hires at Feroot—and you will both generate pipeline and build out our SDR team. You’ll own top-of-funnel outreach, prospecting, qualification, and you’ll also set the tone for the team’s processes, tools, metrics and culture. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success to drive growth, pipeline generation, and acceleration of our go-to-market motion.
What You Will Do
- Own early stage outreach and pipeline generation for target segments (e.g., mid-market & enterprise, cybersecurity, SaaS, e-commerce).
- Build and execute an outbound prospecting plan: cold calls, emails, social outreach, targeted events/webinars.
- Qualify leads, manage hand-off to Account Executives, and ensure pipeline cleanliness in HubSpot.
- Establish SDR metrics (activity levels, conversion rates, pipeline influenced), track performance, and report weekly/monthly.
- Hire, train, mentor and lead a small team of SDRs to scale the demand engine.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership to refine messaging, ICPs, and outreach sequences.
- Optimize and build repeatable processes and tools for SDR success (playbooks, HubSpot workflows, dashboards).
- Contribute to our company culture: build a high-energy, results-driven, transparent and team-oriented environment.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5+ years of SDR or BDR experience in a high-growth SaaS environment; 1-2+ years of leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding outreach, qualification and pipeline metrics.
- Strong interest/experience in cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or adjacent technology markets is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working in ambiguity and building from the ground up.
- Experience with HubSpot and sequence tools.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
