Overview
OXE Inc. is looking for an experienced eavestrough installer to add to our growing team.
This is a CONTRACT POSITION, to be paid by the ft (installed). Qualified candidates must have their own:
-Truck, trailer, GUTTER MACHINE and the necessary hand tools required to complete the job. Truck and trailer both need to be UNMARKED (no unrelated company logos). No exceptions. *For the right candidate, OXE may provide trailer and trough machine but installer would be required to use their own truck to pull**
-Must be fully covered by WCB and able to provide an up to date clearance
-Must have a minimum of 3 years experience installing gutters unsupervised. Experience is non-negotiable. Trade references must be provided
-Having a helper is preferred, from a safety and efficiency standpoint
Duties
- Measure, cut, and assemble eavestroughs using hand tools to ensure precise fitting and secure installation
- Install eavestrough systems on various types of residential (and occasionally commercial) rooflines
- Seal joints and connections with caulking to prevent leaks and ensure durability
- Repair or replace damaged sections of existing eavestroughs, ensuring proper drainage function
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials during and after installations
Skills
- Proficiency with the necessary hand tools required to complete the job
- Strong construction background with experience in carpentry or restoration projects
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints and seams
- Capable of working at heights safely and comfortably on ladders or scaffolding
